Doughty Falls is the result of nearly two years of dedicated research and writing by a committee of hardworking volunteers from the community. The committee interviewed long time citizens, gleaning many stories and remembrances. They spent many hours researching deeds, probate records, manuscripts, diaries, newspaper accounts, and reference books.
